Ashley and Anthony’s wedding was on a very special day, 11-11-11 at 11:11am in Bessemer, MI! The two of them have always wished upon time whenever it strikes the same numbers on the clock. On the eve of their wedding day, we were blessed with snow! We were able to play a little in it the next day and it was so gorgeous! Along with her drop dead gorgeous dress, Ashley was also wearing something else magical – exact replica Wizard of Oz shoes – which is her favorite movie of all time. Her Grandmother actually worked at MGM and new Judy Garland!
Ashley created some absolutely stunning decorations for her wedding including her centerpieces, programs and other beautiful details for her wedding. A real DIY gal! Ashley+Anthony, your wedding was spectacular! It was so fun to attend your wedding after really getting to know you guys more from the engagement session this past summer, click here to view. Hope you enjoy!

A completely inspirational fairytale wedding at Locust Grove

Gosh. Has it really been this long since our last blog post?! I have to let you in on a secret of mine. Have you ever been apart of something so perfect, you were afraid to finish it? That’s how this wedding has been for me. Will and I had been looking forward to Keri and Dustin’s Wedding since they booked back at the beginning of last year! Keri and her Mom, Laurie, have the attention to detail that you only dream of in magazines. They came to the consultation equipped with beautiful binders filled with photos, drawings and clippings – from which we knew this wedding would be out-of-this-world gorgeous.
Fairy-tail. Vintage. Classic. Rich. Whimsical. Beautiful. Perfect.
Just a few words to sum up this phenom of a wedding. Can you tell how this made me a little nervous to begin editing? I felt I would screw it up some how. With how amazing the day went, I honestly was terrified to begin! After months of cold fingers, (or creative block in post processing!) I finally did it! And I am so proud! Keri, Dustin and all of their family-thank you so much for letting us be apart of this magical day! I’m still afraid I didn’t do it justice, but here goes!

New Harmony Wedding at the Roofless Church
November 16th, 2011 ||Posted in Weddings
Abby + Jimmy got married in New Harmony, Indiana. An ABSOLUTELY gorgeous place to photograph! Their day had plenty of threats for rain, so Abby’s Mom hung rosaries in the trees! She told us this is a superstition on wedding days to ward off the rain. IT WORKED! Although, the stormy skies proved for some amazing light in these photographs!
Abby + Jimmy met while competitively water-skiing years ago! These two are some insanely talented skiers! Jimmy Went out skiing to ‘get ready’ before his big day! After their wedding, they let us photograph them in their suit and dress water-skiing!! The Schmitt family and the Tranchita family (and all of their friends) were some of the most amazing people we have ever met! So sincere, full of love and boy do they all know how to party! They made Will and I more than welcome, like they’ve known us for years! They even took ME water-skiing the next day! (I’ve never done that in my life! Later post to come with those pics….maybe
Anyways, I could write all night about these guys but I know you’re all dying to see the pics!! We’ve been DYING to share these since we shot it!! ENJOY!!

A glimpse of magic through our kiddos eyes
October 31st, 2011 ||Posted in Kiddos
This year we took the kids trick-or-treating in downtown Jeffersonville on Spring Street. Treat Street was so much fun for us as it was for our kids! Liam and Ava giggled and shouted as they found some of their favorite characters in costume! Liam was dressed as Thor and Ava as a Princess…maybe Cinderella
The legendary Schimpff’s Confectionary was the start of this treat street. They have been here for 120 years! It was opened in its present location in 1891 by Gustav Schimpff Sr. and Jr.
Have fun tonight and be safe trick-or-treating!

A wonderful Lake Superior wedding
October 24th, 2011 ||Posted in Weddings

Kim and Darrin’s Wedding was absolutely beautiful. What made it so special, was nearly everything they had for decor was
DIY! From the flower and table arrangements to the arbor they were married under, everything was Handcrafted!!
They were married out at one of our favorite locations in Northern, Michigan: Little Girls Point, Lake Superior. Afterwards, their reception took place out at the Caribou Lodge on the breathtaking Big Powderhorn Mountain. We had so much fun running up that ginormous mountain and getting some great shots of the two newlyweds as the sun was setting.
Enjoy!
